Vienna Way House, California by Marmol Radziner Associates

San Francisco Home Decor is going to present you a fantastic project with Marmol Radziner Associates signature. Marmol Radziner Associates was founded in 1989 by Leo Marmol and Ron Radziner, being nowadays a partnership between Ron – design principal – and Leo – managing principal.

They are a full service architectural firm that provides architectural design, interior design, landscape design, furniture design, jewelry design and prefab. They also provide construction services, as a design-build firm. They aspire that their collaborative design vision to be realized coherently and elegantly.

The Vienna Way House, by local practice Marmol Radziner Associates, is located on a lush narrow site in Venice, California.  vienna_way_house_california_by_marmol_radziner_associates_1

Due to the slender nature of the plot, the house was divided into thirds with the two main volumes pushed to the opposing property lines bridged by a sunken kitchen and a swimming pool.  vienna_way_house_california_by_marmol_radziner_associates_2

The single-story southern mass contains more formal living and dining areas that extend out onto an exterior patio.  vienna_way_house_california_by_marmol_radziner_associates_6

The northern half by contrast is composed of more casual bedrooms, living room, and office in a two-story structure that also contains its own exterior courtyard. the kitchen, enclosed by full-height glass panels on either side connects the two as the anchor, controlling the flow of circulation through it and views at its transverse axis. vienna_way_house_california_by_marmol_radziner_associates_3

On the kitchen’s rooftop, a garden continues the dense greenery in the negative spaces of the yard.  vienna_way_house_california_by_marmol_radziner_associates_4

Extensive glass panels allow the user to live within the sycamore and oak trees and buffalo grass.
