Room options range from standard and fireplace kings to the rather innovative loft queen rooms that sleep up to six people and is a great option for families. for the budget-minded traveler, the hotel offers the explorer room, fit with eight bunks, a high definition projector with surround sound, and last but not least an xbox 360 kinect to enjoy after a day of exploring. but if you like it luxe, there’s the penthouse suite with stellar views of east peak, a wet bar, and an original, hand-painted mural.

Basecamp hotel‘s lobby oozes a homey vibe with its chesterfield sofas, rocking chairs, and board games, and is also home to a cozy bar and community eatery. each day begins with a complimentary continental breakfast and espresso drinks to fuel your day of exploring. the seasonal, nightly changing dinner menu features tasty mountain fare from around the planet, from tahoe mountain chili to classic swiss fondue, meals are designed to eat family-style at the 10-foot reclaimed wood table. the lobby bar features deschutes beers on tap and green barrel wines. mind you, in winter time it even hosts a hot chocolate hour with artisanal hot chocolates! as said, there’s a lot to do in the area, from mountain biking the spectacular flume trail, golfing the greens of edgewood to skiing at heavenly and paddle boarding around the lake.
