The Oscars are almost here and I want to show you the best of set decor.
The art in movies is so important that it must be carefully thought. Some movies already are the favourites. We can say by the Emmy’s that “12 years a slave” and “Behind the Candelabra” are pointed as favourites.
Here we gonna talk about “Behind the Candelabra” . Matt Damon and Michael Douglas are the main actors of this stunning movie. Liberace, the world-renowned pianist and entertainer is here played by Michael Douglas and Matt Damon as his companion. Extravagant and glorious, this biopic is directed by the Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh and production designer was made by Howard Cummings. Barbara Munch Cameron, known for Glee is the set decorator.
In six weeks she had to design and decorate 30 sets that include Liberace’s self-described “palatial kitsch” mansion in Las Vegas, a penthouse pied-à-terre in Los Angeles, and a Spanish-style 1920s retreat in Palm Springs known both as the Cloisters and Casa de Liberace. Her work was amazing and here I leave you some pics of this amazing movie.
